How long does the application process take?
In most cases, I recommend getting in touch 6–12 months in advance to allow time for school selection and visa arrangements. In certain cases, the process can be completed in as little as 4 months with fast-tracking options.
Do you charge for your services?
My services are complimentary. I work in partnership with a small number of carefully selected schools, allowing me to offer expert, personalised guidance to families at no cost.
Why choose a boarding school over a language school or summer camp?
Boarding schools offer a fully immersive experience, including accommodation, meals, and full pastoral care. Your child benefits from excellent academic teaching, outstanding facilities, and a structured, supportive environment.
Is this an exchange programme?
No, this is not an exchange programme. Your child joins a UK boarding school independently, and fees are paid directly to the school.
Does my child need to sit an entrance exam or interview?
Not for summer or immersion programmes. For longer placements, your child will typically complete a maths and English assessment, along with a short video interview to assess their English-speaking ability.
What level of English does my child need?
Requirements vary depending on your child’s age and chosen programme. All schools I work with provide appropriate English language support, ensuring your child is well supported as their confidence and fluency develop.
What happens if my child doesn’t secure a visa?
In the unlikely event that a visa is not granted, I will guide you through the next steps, including reapplying if appropriate. If needed, the school placement can be deferred.
As a minor, does my child need a guardian?
Yes, this is a legal requirement in the UK unless a parent or close relative is based there. Guardians provide emergency support and can host your child during school holidays if required. Schools can recommend trusted providers.
